“It’s more than selling or advertising”

1. Analyze the needs of people playing tennis and decide whether consumers prefer more quantity or different rackets.

3. To estimate how many of those people will be playing tennis in the next few years and buy rackets.
4. Accurately predict when those players wishing to buy snowshoes.
5. Determine where will these players and how to put signature rackets at your fingertips.
6. Calculate what price will be willing to pay for their rackets and whether the firm will make a profit selling at that price.
7. Decide what kind of promotion must be used for prospective clients to know the signature rackets.
8. Estimate how many competitors will be making snowshoes, how much they produce, what kind and at what price.

The above activities are not part of the production, as this is to manufacture the product or service. On the contrary make up a larger process – called marketing – providing the necessary guidance for production and help ensure that adequate product is manufactured and reach consumers.

Marketing as it relates to the production
While production is a necessary economic activity, some people exaggerate their importance with regard to marketing.
They think it’s just having a good product, businesses will be a success.
The case is that the production and marketing are important parts of any trading system aimed at providing consumers with goods and services that meet their needs. By combining production and marketing, we obtain the four basic utilities economi9cas: of form, time, place and possession, necessary to satisfy the consumer. In this case utility means the ability to provide satisfaction to human needs. No need to meet and therefore there is no profit.
Marketing is concerned with what customers want, and should serve as a guide to what is produced and offered.
Utility holding means getting a product and have the right to use or consume.
Time utility means having the product when the client wishes.
Utility place means having the product where the customer wishes.
